Driving growth through data
At Hekkan Burger, data is not something that lives in reports. It is something the team actively uses to change behavior on the floor and improve results in real time.
Together with Munu, Hekkan Burger ran a focused sales competition designed to strengthen data-driven thinking while increasing sales in specific product categories. The initiative targeted dips and non-alcoholic beverages. Two categories with clear upsell potential, but often overlooked in busy service periods.
Using Munu Analytics, the team could track performance live. Staff saw how small changes in recommendations and order composition directly affected revenue. This made the competition tangible. Not abstract targets, but visible progress.

SubscribeThe results were clear.
Average payment size increased by 13 percent, adding 56 NOK per guest. Dip sales grew across the board, with higher revenue, more items sold, and increased order frequency. Sales of Coca-Cola and Coca-Cola Zero alone generated an additional 27,000 NOK in revenue during the period.
More importantly, the impact went beyond the numbers. By giving the team clear, targeted insights, Munu helped turn data into motivation. Staff could see their efforts paying off while managers gained confidence in how data can be used to drive behavior, not just report on it.
With this foundation in place, Hekkan Burger is now taking the next step. The team is analyzing employee discounts to better understand their effect on revenue and identify new opportunities for improvement.
This is what data-driven operations look like in practice. Focused, practical, and directly tied to daily decisions. Powered by Munu.
